Beginning of a dream.

I have always dreamed of having my own spa someday. I love skin care so much. I love everything about it, all the facials, all the treatments, the smell of new products, the massage, the pampering. Everything. So I decided to make this my next project - go to esthetics school and be a licensed esthetician. I knew it was going to be a real challenge. I had to wake up really early so I can get to work early, so I can get off early, so I can get to school by 5:30. School ends at 9:30, but sometimes it's way past. I get home a little after 10, chat with my daughter Izzy a little bit, play with Maya a bit, hit the shower, go to bed. Repeat. There were many days when I don't remember how I got to school. Coffee, lots of coffee, sometimes did the trick.

I put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this project. Every phase was an accomplishment. When I finished, it was pure joy. I took the state boards immediately after finishing the course. I wanted to be licensed very soon so I can start doing the work I aimed at doing. I passed but it did not sink in until I saw "Active" on the DOL website.

The day after I passed my state boards, I had the urge to go visit this place. I had an appointment that day but there was something pushing me to go visit this place. Little did I know God has a surprise for me. A suite has been abandoned by a travel business for a couple weeks. It was perfect timing. I expressed interest and was told to return in 2 weeks. I prayed about it, prayed about it and prayed about it. I knew there were several local businesses eyeing the place, offering more money just to reserve the spot. But God has a better plan for that place. Two weeks came - news flash. I got it. I didn't know how to react but I know I had to tell Izzy, we got it! I don't have a lot of money saved up for capital. But I do have lots of guts and determination. And I do have this dream. It's about to come true on my birthday. This is my spa. SV Skin Care.
